There goes the race card again!

It's automatic when there's a discussion with modern liberals involved!

You better be mentally stable when doing some of Biles routines.

Gymnasts have been crippled for life.

So, uhm… how did Mr. Djokovich handle the pressure this Olympics?
Quote:
“I just didn’t deliver yesterday and today. The level of tennis dropped. Also due to exhaustion — mentally and physically,” Djokovic said. “I gave it all, whatever I had left in the tank, which was not so much.”

Djokovic’s frustration was evident in his on-court behavior as the match wore on.

Having saved a match point in the second-set tiebreaker, Djokovic threw his racket into the empty stands — up and over five rows of seats — after he couldn’t get to a stop-volley winner from Carreño Busta to conclude a long rally in the opening game of the third.

He will be leaving the Olympics with no medals. At least Biles will get a silver medal.

^^^ This is a big piece of why I think Biles' case is different from Osaka's, and why Djokovic is not in the best place to comment on Biles' situation (perhaps on Osaka's). Tennis players are not risking paralysis and death if they make a mistake. No way on earth I could even attempt what she does, in competition or otherwise.

Playing and losing is a lot better than quitting.

Djokovic talking about handling pressure? What a joke. #1 tennis player in the world, didn't win a single men's singles medal. In fact, he took his racket and threw it up into the stands in a fit of rage when he lost the bronze match. At the US open, he smashed a ball in rage that hit a line judge in the throat! Instant disqualification, and he whined like a little baby! He's got some nerve to criticize other Olympians about pressure. He's a nothing but a spoiled sport who throws tantrums.

But the really ludicrous thing is comparing tennis to gymnastics! Tennis is whacking a ball with a racket. The very worst you can do is sprain an ankle. Gymnasts and ESPECIALLY Simone Biles are literally risking their bones and even their lives with their maneuvers. The multiple flips and twists they do while flying through the air takes super-human skill, and the penalty for a mistake risks grave injuries to themselves that no tennis player will ever experience. Of course they can lose their nerve. The worst thing that happens to a tennis player is they lose the match. The pressure is in no way comparable.

When's the last time one of these gymnasts got paralyzed in the Olympics?

Ever?

Sounds like it's not as common as you make it out to be. I know the media is working overtime to cover for quitting with that trope.

Judging by his play, I’m not so sure he DIDN’T quit.

He didn't. He played the whole match. Easily verifiable.

Seems strange to go after his performance. Isn't he going for the grand slam for the year?

At least two female gymnasts have been paralyzed in training for the Olympics from a quick Google search.
