We all know what is happening in our justice system. Criminals are racking up huge records and violating the law repeatedly and brazenly. They know they will not be prosecuted and usually only inconvenienced by a few days in jail or a few hours of their day lost to the justice system. There is no punishment anymore.
The obvious solution is to lock these people up. The question is what do we do with them if we crack down and start holding these criminals to account?
If we really intend to stop this then it will not be a pretty sight. There's just too many.
A person was beheaded in Minneapolis by a guy who should’ve never been on the street in the first place. He had a long history of threatening violence.
This is what Democrats want in their cities, so why should I advocate for something they don’t want?
States, not local governments determine minimum sentencing and parole.
Prisons in many states are beyond capacity which leads to encouraging county prosecutors and judges to go for the plea bargain.
It reminds me of how states began to close asylums beginning in the 50’s because they had become huge political embarrassments and the public was none to keen on being taxed to build / equips / staff new institutions.
Does anything prevent a state from outsourcing incarceration to another state with surplus capacity? How about off shoring?
I have long favored chopping off fingers of those convicted of shop lifting. Sew em up. Give them a bottle of antibiotics and ban them from disability claims. When one runs out of fingers go for the hand.
At the same time, why any Police focus on crimes like selling loose cigarettes, is beyond me.

Need to get some EMP's and just create militias and have our own real life purge. With an EMP, we can knock out all communications and video recordings to protect our identity.

Do you have any empirical data to base these claims on?
The US incarceration rate not high enough yet? The US already has he world record, what else is there to go for?
No doubt, it's something along the lines of we represent 5% of the world population and 25% of the worlds prison population.
Rehabilitation > Incarceration
Not only is it more effective, it's cheaper too.
