Interestingly, or maybe not, there is a verb in Colombian Spanish "semaforear" which takes the noun semáforo (a stoplight) and represents the act of hanging out at an intersection selling things or services to people in cars. Candy, electric bug swatting rackets, cleaning windscreens, etc.
