It's a virus. It doesn't care. It cannot know. It just wants to get into your cells and use you as a yummy, yummy cell substrate to self-replicate.
Just like they have for millions of years, and yet humanity is still here.
Interesting attitude you show though - more concerned with being compliant, than giving consideration to the possibility that the pandemic could be solely the result of ego, profit and corruption.

Oh, the philosophical approach. Humanity survived without germ theory and indoor plumbing, that's not really an argument for not using the better tools we have at our disposal now. Senator Ron Johnson (Republican, of course) just suggested the Spanish Flu as the example to emulate - 50 million people died in two years, but hey.

Two rather different subjects. Your survival chances do not move one iota based on you knowing where the virus comes form or not.
while i think this mandate is absurd it's not racial discrimination.
Except that according to the social justice warriars, anything that they determine ( or twist) to "disproportionally" affect black or brown people is racist. Since fewer people of color are vaccinated ( from their own choices) against covid, that makes it racist.

Most people don't need the better tools though, rather the vulnerable need better protection - the desire to save lives is understandable, but if the hunt for better tools is itself creating a pandemic, then we're heading into a vicious circle.

Are they though? - perhaps you would argue that guns are unrelated to gun violence?
.... in response to your addition - the survival of the species is more important than the survival of me, and that survival could very well depend on knowing whether this is purely natural, or whether it's the result of the short sightedness of humanity- that's why your unwillingness to look at the big picture, is ultimately a greater danger than a virus that just isn't that much of a threat.
