That is stupid and hateful and apropos of nothing. What is wrong with you?
I think you are being overly sensitive - it isn't hateful -- but it is a common claim of many -- the illegals are why COVID is surging in Texas and Florida -- not in Georgia or California though -- lol......and the illegals cause all the crime, take all the handouts, and yes all the jobs, keeping wages low, etc.
Its sad. But its not surprising as Texas also has among the most obese/unhealthy people in the world. Its funny never ONCE in this entire pandemic has the politicians/ paid off news networks have mentioned people needing to control their weight
That obesity is a public health concern in and of itself, and that it may increase the risk of serious illness from COVID do not obviate the data-driven, recommended mitigation strategies from public health agencies. These guidances can be swiftly implemented by responsible Americans.
Incorrect. Not may increase the risk, it most definitely does. No, ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Masking doesn't work unless it's the surgical masks and they are thrown away regularly which Americans are not doing.
Distancing works at 30 feet.

Covid has been out for well over a year. According to you, people shouldn't discuss the fact that being unhealthy puts them at high risk???? And Americans have gained weight over the past year so lets ignore that?????
Not worrying about the obesity problem which almost every person has control over and can help them during this crisis should not be mentioned????

Agreed. It hurts peoples feelings to tell them the truth about themselves and that they should be the ones controlling their lives instead of crooked politicians.

Your comment is absurd.
The absurdity is in thinking these problems and solutions are mutually exclusive.
They are not.
Immediately, one can practice the recommendations issued by public health agencies.
Long term, one can strive to achieve a healthy weight, sustainably through lifestyle modifications.
If one is focused on the long-term goal of fighting obesity while discarding the immediate recommendations, then one needs to refocus.
To extend the analogy of the house on fire: do things that will extinguish the house fire first and ensure the safety of its occupants (call the fire department, leave the premises), then work on the electrical wiring and plumbing deficiencies that may put your house at risk for fires and such.
Do not stay in the house and not call the fire department while contemplating the plumbing and electrical wiring as the house burns down.

Invaded? Isn't that the word the El Paso shooter used in his manifesto? Never mind that that area been home to Spanish-Mexican populations about twice as long as it's been Anglo-Saxon ruled territory.

Do you have some sources to confirm your comments. Pretty much everything I've read has said surgical masks provide little, if any, protection. It would need to be an N95.
One of the major differences between a surgical mask and a N95 filtering face piece respirator is that surgical masks are not intended to provide respiratory protection to the wearer since they do not effectively filter smaller airborne particles.

N95 is what I meant by surgical masks. I didn't know there was a difference. "A respiratory protective device."

The absurdity in thinking obesity cannot be improved upon by the public in the year+ time covid has been around.

Fighting obesity is also short term. Don't be silly.

See, it’s very simple. I hope this helps.
Your analogy is off base and holds no water.
Fact, trying too loose weight by dieting and exercising shows immediate results. Long before the vaccine came out people had plenty of time to get in better shape. To say otherwise is deflecting and disingenuous at best.
