transgender is abnormal. Frankly, "gay" is abnormal. This is based on nothing more than %'s. there's a difference between abnormal and "accepted".
Normal: conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern : characterized by that which is considered usual, typical, or routine
If that's the definition we're using, you saying it's a problem to "normalize abnormality" is an issue. We don't ostracize people because they're in a statistical minority, and I get nervous that's the message many people send.

There's a huge difference between ostracizing someone and pandering to their delusions.
That doesn't look like a woman, more like an oversized 4th grader. Scrunchies in the hair? Tacky floral print dress that they probably thifted? He's going to have to spend a lot more money to pass as a woman.
My career was in Medical Laboratory Science, and I'm glad I retired before there was much talk about transgenders. Every clinical analyzer in a lab is programmed such that every blood specimen must be identifiable as from a specific individual, with a specific date of birth, and male or female. Without those pieces of data, the test simply will not run. For some tests, sex of the patient makes no difference, but for others (hemoglobin, hematocrit, creatinine, liver enzymes, hormones, etc.) the range of normal is different for males and females.
I can't even imagine how normal lab values would be determined for transgenders.
And maybe because I spent my career in such a "black and white" scientific field, it's particularly hard for me to accept transgenderism. It is simply not scientifically possible for a biological male to ever become a biological female. He can pretend, but he cannot BECOME.

it's not ostracizing ("to exclude or banish") them. They are accepted. They are allowed to be whatever gender they choose as adults. They get every single basic right the rest of us do.
Did the shop owner say "No transgenders allowed to shop here" or "Ask about our heterosexual discount"?
