One mistake I believe Biden made was to publicly announce the troop withdrawal and to quickly begin removing them. There should have been quiet turn over of bases and equipment from US to Afghani forces. A gradual troop withdrawal while still providing air support. Once afghanis show proficiency in base operations then move on to the next base. Efforts to target Taliban forces through air strikes should have also been part of the draw down to further weaken Taliban forces.
The speed at which the Taliban are taking over the country makes me question how many of those Afghani forces supported a return to Taliban hardline Islamic rule.
How did America become so inept. A six year old knows if you abandon a country to religous extremist terrorists it will fall overnight.
It’s amateur hour for Biden again. And the SecDef/Generals were too busy making “white extremist briefings” to slap some sense into Biden into the real extremists who are creating a humanitarian crisis.
He should have removed everyone before removing the troops. Everyone knew what was going to happen but him?

Seriously! I have ZERO military experience, but even I could see that we needed to get everyone out first (including any Afghanis), and would have figured out who could best advise how to go about that.
