Sucks Biden has to deal with the mess in Afghanistan that Trump left him.
Trump left Biden with a peaceful Afghanistan. The Taliban were essentially neutralized, in that we haven't had one US soldier die in that country over the past 18 months. Back in May, there was no emergency, no urgent need to call out for the Marine task force to restore peace and order.
1) Trump scheduled the withdrawal of US troops by May 1, 2021.
2) Biden arbitrarily decided to move the date from May 1st, to Sept 11.
3) Why???? Because Biden always has to do the opposite of what Trump does, even if it results in disaster.
4) Biden had no plan or process in place to ensure a that there was a safe and peaceful withdrawal by Sept 11. Biden just wanted Sept 11, because he thought it would make a good one-liner in Democrat campaign ads
5) Biden's incompetence is evidenced by his drastic move to call up the Marine Corps and Army task forces. These units are only for "break glass in emergency" situations, when things go horribly wrong.

This is just a horrible story, on so many levels. It's astonishing, in this link, that shows the map of the progress the Taliban has made in just a few weeks. Where is this flash of power coming from?
Those Afghanis who sided with the US, and trusted the US would be there to protect them, bet on the wrong horse. And they're going to be slaughtered.

Actually many in the military here have been raising hell and kicking butt to get those who helped (along with their families) translation and a few other things to get them to safety. After all in the Taliban world (f the Taliban) they have pricetags on their heads.

All Biden had to do was listen to the adults in the room, he chose not to and now we have 3000 troops plus 4000 embassy workers surrounded by a surging Taliban.

Trump left 2500 troops in Afghanistan. Biden says were leaving and then sends 3000 more troops into just one city because US citizens aren't safe to even leave there. Lives are in danger. Another humanitarians crisis Biden has created.
