So HELL NO, It was NOT "always going to end like this."

Amen. It ended this way as Biden is the dumbest POTUS we ever had. His decisions caused the genocide to come. The deaths to come are his responsibility solely.

US citizens can't even have assault rifles in many states, but we gave the Taliban a literal truckload of them. Probably more than that.

I saw a picture of the pile of rifles and small arms left behind; it included light machine guns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, etc.

Default Lauren Boebert praises the Taliban for “building back better”

Look Ms Boebert, I get it - you're a right-winger, the Taliban is right-wing. You guys both hate gays, hate vaccine, anti-science, super into religion, and other right-wing past time. But you're not supposed to be so open about your admiration for them.

If we had taken it, everyone here would be losing their minds about how we didn't leave the afghanis weapons to defend themselves.

No matter what was done, folks here would be screaming about how it was wrong.

Afghan people never wanted the US to launch a war there to begin with. They consider it a revenge for 9/11.

The puppet government set up by the US is not really supported by most people (which includes some military staff) either. That is why it failed so quickly.
