I am curious - why the evacuation is so slow? There are thousands of people on the airport
ready to leave. There are countries ready to take the refugees.
Doesn't the US military/government have enough airplanes to send?
I think we all know, that no one is going to come for her. Biden already bragged about "ending America's longest war," and withdrawing our troops. The optics would look bad for Biden now, to send in military troops to rescue Americans, so it ain't gonna happen. Or I should say, Biden has no plans to do this. So unless he is threatened with impeachment or use of the 25th amendment, he will just let our people die.
We need more time than 8-31. The Taliban knows this, everyone knows this.
But the Taliban knows better than to attack Americans. If they want us to leave, the best way for us to leave is to finish up the evacuation, might be done by Sept 11th.
The best way to make us stay is to try a wide scale attack on the airport on Sep 1st.
Not even weak and whimpy Biden could over look that.
Biden doesn't really see a problem here. Remember he was VP during the Obama administration and learned from him that a "red line" is just a suggestion and not a serious one at that.

I read today 28,000 people have been evacuated, that is not slow.
The US had an agreement with the Taliban called the Doha agreement, which stated we would withdraw all US military by May 1, 2021. Biden terminated the deal back in April, and everything went down hill quickly from there.
I'm aware of that. I'm questioning those that keep stating that anyone there after that agreed on date chose to be there and it's on them now that they are stuck. That is what I disagree with.

There are thousands of people who most likely aren't SIV holders and can't be vetted.
Our first priority should be Americans.
And Potato Joe's administration won't tell us how many there are. And not only have they been told not to go to the airport there are thousands that aren't even in Kabul.
