Probably best to ignore tillman7 at this point. Defend Biden and trash Trump. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I think Biden’s done with the blame Trump game.

Apparently a critical mass of folks know Trump’s plan had us out in April. Joe changed it and that decision (along with other bad decisions) has cost us dearly on a number of fronts.

Time to take responsibility (and protect Harris for 2024).

Corpsman, actually, but this is exactly what I feared was going to happen, but I was hoping it wouldn't.

There is 1 solution to solving the Afghan problem but it is politically unacceptable in today's climate. And no, I am not talking about genocide.

This would require openly abolishing Islam as a religion in Afghanistan and replacing it with a secular or atheist ideology - like the Soviets tried to do in the 1980s. They would round up any mullahs or imams and give them a bullet in the back of the neck. If you think this is controversial it really is not. Various Middle Eastern dictators like Qaddafi, Assad (father and son), Saddam Hussein, various Turkish generals over the decades, and Mubarak all did the same thing. These men all came from that cultural and religious background. They recognized the dangers of a religion that supports - honor killings, cousin marriage, death for apostates, rooftop treatment for lgbtq, female genital mutilation, death to non-Christian/Jewish faiths like Buddhists, Hindus, etc. (deemed idol worshippers and thus not qualifying for the jizya tax).

Edit - let the Chinese try it. They have done so successfully by cleansing their country of radical Muslims through brute force methods. That is the only way to deal with an aggressive, expansionist, hostile religion.

That definitely sounds harsh....but look at a world with Islam, vs a world without it.

Our "leaders" (and their democrat followers) would rather import imams and all their followers into America. They're better than hillbilly white conservatives, right?

Why is it harsh? Even countries on the periphery of the Muslim world that are notably peaceful have finally had enough of their bull****. The Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Singapore, etc. all have forces engaged in fighting Muslim radicals.

They have began setting up camps to deprogram people from this religious nonsense. You need something on the scale of the Soviet or Chinese gulags to remove the indoctrination. Then follow it up by razing the mosques to the ground and building parking lots or factories on top. Again - things the Soviets or current Chinese leadership have no problem doing.

Turkey was the leader in doing so for decades - the Turkish generals - and they are raised in that environment - who tried to launch a coup d' etat against Erdogan several years ago recognized the dangers of radical Islam. Too bad they failed.
