you dont need a contingency plan.

The Trump team put in place a plan of organized withdrawal that
1. was contingent on the Taliban doing certain things. Like not invading.
Any movement by the Taliban would result in America not withdrawing and America striking hard.
2. It didnt include turning Bagram over. period.
3. You pull out all the civilians and the Afghans that would be targets.
4. you pull out the equipment
5. Then you pull out the military.

I mean this isnt rocket science. quit acting like it is .

It was bound to happen because we gave the Taliban a year to plan. Our departure should not have been announced. No one is making excuses. Quit making assumption for argument’s sake.

McCarthy was just live on the tele. He sounded more serious than I have ever heard.

Nope. Both of them failed on this. You don’t give terrorists a year to plan how to make your withdrawal a disaster and you don’t follow through with that plan either.

If true that they gave Taliban the names, Joe is gone.

Jen Griffin asked a good question as to why the ISIS-K prisoners in Bagram weren't released to a different location like Gitmo before the US decided to withdraw.

Anything posted about trump is just to deflect....you have be a complete and utter fool to place this on his doorsteps

The fact of the matter is--the entire withdrawal is ALL Biden's fault....it doesn't matter what Trump negotiated a year ago...the fact of the matter is that Joe Biden was inaugurated on January 21, 2021 as President of the United States.

He had EVERY tool and the full control of the federal government at his disposal to plan and effectively coordinate a peaceful, safe and timely withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Besides, the man has FIFTY YEARS of Fed government experience.

The Dems kept preaching about all this "experience" as Senator, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee...Obama's VP....so on and so fourth...so just when the HELL are we suppose to see the benefit of any of this so called experience?

The man has had his hands in Afghanistan since the FIRST boot hit the ground in 2003--if anyone should know how to handle this, it should've been him RIGHT?

so far his entire administration has been a total train wreck.

NOW his administration is single handedly responsible for the epic collapse of the Afghan government in addition to the unnecessary deaths of US soldiers and Afghan civilians...and for the rebirth of the Taliban, ISIS and Al Queda all in one BIG swoop. Talk about disaster.

If his goal was to have them out by August 31st...then they had PLENTY OF TIME to get this right.

They were just completely incompetent and drank the kool aid about how the world actually works. In the minds of the dems--if we just play "nice" with the terrorists, and listen to their grievances...and show that we are "woke"...then we'll all get along.

They thought that if they just did the opposite of everything Trump had done over the past 4 years then it would all naturally fall into a place...and thus far, his entire administration is learning the hard way.

Get in here, Kamala.
In all honesty, it is hard to respect a guy as President when you know that he probably did not get in on the up-and-up. Anyone.

Now apply it to this old geezer, Biden.

Nope this is on Biden.

You don’t win an election promising to reverse everything your predecessor did, then lie about being powerless when it comes to the one thing you didn’t reverse because you wanted credit for: Afghanistan.

Quote:
President Biden’s decision to remove all U.S. troops from Afghanistan ran counter to the recommendations of his top military commanders, who feared it could undermine security in the country.

Gen. Frank McKenzie, the commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, Gen. Austin “Scott” Miller, who leads NATO forces in Afghanistan, and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, all recommended retaining the current force of 2,500 troops while stepping up diplomacy to try to cement a peace agreement, U.S. officials say.
