About how it is now. We had to respond to 9/11 and just saying there are other bad regimes in the world so who cares is not good enough. We should have started bombing the country into oblivion, with the one caveat that if the Taliban or Al-Qaeda hand over Bid Laden and his surrounding party we would stop bombing. And if they did so we would warn them that if we detect more terrorist activities being allowed to go on there we would finish them off.

Liberals don’t care. They think terrorists go away once you withdraw.

We just bombed an entire family with a drone strike, they won’t forget it.

As the US found out in North Vietnam, the problem with bombing is you run out of targets.

Actually, the problem with Vietnam War was US didn’t want to send ground troops north of DMZ (or north of Quang Tri province) to invade north Vietnam because that would spark a WW3 with USSR and China

Horrible logic.

Troops have been dying in Afghanistan for 20 years.

Should we not be upset about the 13 who died either, due to pure incompetence by Joe Biden?

Afghanistan was run by the Taliban when we invaded.

And we've run away.

Guess what? Afghanistan is still run by the Taliban.
