It is hard to spin this when he publicly assured us just two weeks ago that what is currently happening, will never occur.

Actually, we're not, and that's part of the problem.

Biden can probably be impeached if any of the military weapons left behind are used in future attacks on the U.S.

Honestly, we should have just wired the buildings and surrounding area with explosives, and when the termites came home, sent them to their final resting place.

The bad withdrawal was Biden, and the "art of the bad deal" was Trump.

"Both sides" should have, and could have, utilized the CIA, to confirm whether the Taliban was holding their end. They both didn't! Now, here we are.....!

Reagan's "Trust, but verify" should've been applied, here!

How do you know what Osama bin Laden wanted? He was hiding in Pakistan while Obama was President.

You don't seem to understand the difference between the Taliban and al-Qaeda.

If Trump has been re-elected, he would have relied on the same intelligence that Biden was given.

We stayed in Afghanistan for 20 years because every President since Bush was told the same thing. Each President pushed withdrawal down the road. Now we're blaming Biden for having the guts to pull the plug.

90%? How did you come up with that number? George H. W. Bush had plenty of actual combat experience. His son was in the Air National Guard. Donald Trump was a cadet at the New York Military Academy. I'm not sure a few years in the military makes that much of a difference.

1) Wrong.
2) I don't know what Trump would have done. You don't either, so don't act like you do.

Mehh. There was nothing Biden could do here. Taliban were going to take over whether it was now or 30 years from now. That place has always been a lost cause

President Biden screwed the pooch on this one. There's no if's and's or but's on this. It was time to leave, but President Biden's approach reeks of incompetence. President Trump didn't pull all of our troops out at once, leaving a power vacuum while our embassies had yet to be fully cleared. That's the main difference.

I guess we'll never know how President Trump truly would have handled this, but it cannot have been worse than President Biden's approach.
Hahahaha! Seriously? The Trump administration couldn’t manage anything with the son in law Kushner rolling out “policies”.

The Afghanis did not want to fight for their country. We were DONE. Period.

It wasn’t going to be pretty regardless. They fight for their family and their tribe. That’s it. They’re going to continue to fight amongst themselves like they have done for centuries.

I’m not going to miss any of them. Are you?

Yes well this happened.

Afghan conflict: US and Taliban sign deal to end 18-year war

And this isn't a dig at Trump. Sadly, I think it was inevitable that all of us would give up, pack up and go home.

I just don't understand why we (Canada) didn't start working to get people who helped us out sooner then the last minute. WTF.
