china allowed it. There is a thing called the phase I of the covid research which happened in Wuhan earlier this year. but why is there no investigation in other cities where covid was reported earlier than wuhan?

In some respects it makes sense because I think 'the lab' was leaky ie stuff was coming out of there by accident or intentionally before, not just with one event or incident. Also heard many Chinese migrants work or go to places like Italy. Have to wonder if that was the start and mutated to more dangerous form by fall 2019.

To be entirely accurate about the Spanish Flu, it started in China, mutated in Kansas (USA) and then spread to Europe. We've gotten so good at virus research, we've retroactively figured all of that out many decades after the fact.
That was in 1919 when we the science on virology barely existed. Now, in 2021, we have way way way more information about viruses and how they work. The People's Republic of China has a veritable army of paid trolls endlessly trying to sell the whole world all kinds of BS. If the PRC wasn't such an ongoing disaster, they wouldn't need to pay "the 50 cent army" to endlessly lie to the entire planet.
How can anyone believe that China is being honest about a damn thing when they're still expecting everyone buy into the claim that there have been only 93,826 Covid-19 cases in China, and that the disease just magically stopped being a thing in China on about March 1, 2020. The typical exponential curve increase as the disease spread suddenly stops dead, when even the most gullible idiot in the world knows that's not how viruses work.

Yes, lets believe the most farfetched answer. Better look under your bed the boogeyman might be hiding there. Maybe the drug companies put COVID in the vaping cartridges. Maybe the people making untested supplements put COVID in them so they could sell more untested products.
Let's apply some common sense. COVID-19 spreads easily. This study was small yet it says they found the virus. That implies there was a good amount of the virus circulating in that area at that time. If this study it correct would would have heard about this virus much earlier.
