Don't see many places reporting THIS.

..Yesterday, the CDC reported Florida’s COVID data, something that is part of a normal cycle after a weekend, claiming that the Sunshine State saw over 28,000 new cases on Sunday. That would have been a record high, and it helped drive another round of anti-Florida media coverage.

The problem? The CDC’s reporting was false...

According to this Florida previously changed the frequency of reporting from daily to weekly and expected CDC to average.

CDC will correct the number.

Nonetheless, Florida continues to be the current hot spot and what happens in Florida does not stay in Florida(or anywhere else.

If you don't mind me asking, why can't you be there? I'm very sorry for you to be going through this. Last summer my husband had surgery to remove a melanoma in the lung and I was prohibited to be there because of the virus.

I truly believe they are under reporting cases here in NY. I know more people now sick with COVID than I ever did in the last year. Most were vaccinated and still sick. Yes, not hospitalized but pretty sick. I have no idea how my area (Westchester County NY) is not a high rate area... Every day I am learning of another 5 or so people sick. They must be under reporting.. yet in FL they over report. Its all to fit whatever narrative they are going for.

SC doesn't report over the weekend either. The Monday numbers are for Sat-Sun-Mon and are higher than normal because they are three day's worth.

The media knows that Gov. DeSantis is a top contender for the Presidency and is doing what they can to knock him from that position, regardless of truth or not.

There are Republicans doing the same thing. It goes with the territory.

That's a pretty big mistake.

During the first year of the pandemic, the Florida Dept. of Health released daily COVID-19 case numbers. It switched to weekly numbers recently though, relying on the CDC to track the daily numbers instead.

https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/ne...of-covid-cases

That state's ICUs are at 88.85% of capacity, and 44.76% of their patients are COVID-19 positive.
