I just read the voting bill, and it seems so common-sense to me. All it requires is identification (you have to identify yourself when you check into a hotel or rent a car or a gazillion other things) and prohibits 24-hour-a-day, drive-by voting, and a massive mail-in ballot initiative (all of which make it harder to maintain election integrity).
The Democrats aren’t interested in common sense. They are interested in power, and keeping that power, by any means necessary.
I wish Republicans were as ruthless as the Democrats are. If they were, Trump would still be in the White House. But since they are weak, and they don’t really have our (the base) best interests in mind, we get what we get.
This is just the Texas Senate that has passed this. The Texas House is still without a quorum, as the Democrats have skedaddled out of town. However, it appears likely that it is just a matter of time before they return and it is passed there as well.

Yes - this. It will take a bit longer, but the Dems won’t be able to stop this bill.
Additionally, many voters of all stripes are not too keen on their elected officials running out on the job.
I believe this dramatic act will lead to a rather unsavory conclusion next year for the Dems.
So voter suppression is now to be cheered ?
I'm all for voters being able to cast a vote. Just tired of these bias procedures .
Clearly if a republican is cheering it, it's bias.
