Many of these so called true American states are the poorest in our country. Who’s going to help them if our country was split.

The Midwest is more pro-union or at least tolerates them better, due to its history of steel mills, and church is more of a popular social event than a societal prerequisite; the predominant religions are Lutheran, mainline Protestant, or Catholic. You also forgot Intermountain West, which is largely secular, with church being left to individual choice, and unions don't play a major role there at all. Florida is kind of in its own category, being a hybrid of South and Intermountain West, politics-wise.

Sorosfaucistan can join Canada and/or Mexico, and throw its borders wide open, for all I care. Just as its founding sponsors want done in the USA nowadays.
If you’re right, the Midwest might be up for grabs. It could join the (relatively) civilized west coast or northeast, or throw its lot in with the Confederacy.

That's Sorosfaucistan. If bankrupted businesses, toppled statues, social isolation, and constant looting are civilized, then I'm Kamala Harris. I'd rather chance it with the Confederacy, so I can live in Florida, one of the last remaining truly free states. South Dakota is free also, but it's too damn cold and gets too much snow.

If they have enough freshwater and fertile soil to grow their own food they're rich. Many areas look rich on paper but they're nothing without supply chains, which are starting to break.

Just give them Texas and Florida and let them figure it out. When the oil runs out and the old people all die off they'll be begging to get back to wherever California went. That's where all the money is.

Why do you think the state borders would be retained? Texas would possibly break apart. Same with other states. This is foolishness. The USTA would be a failed nation racked by civil war.

Problem is that all the major cities in those states are blue. If there is a civil war, it will be a rural revolt, and the insurrectionist/traitors will only control rural areas ever. They can't take over a big city. It's not like the Taliban in Afghanistan where they have sympathizers to their ideology in the cities. Now, China or Russia might want to help them, to get rid of the US as a superpower, but that is a bridge we will cross when it happens. Hopefully they haven't already succeeded.

In this country what it boils down to is urban vs rural, including in the Red States. For starters, the biggest county in Oklahoma may turn blue in 2024. Most of the rural counties in Oklahoma and other Red States are losing people. It's not a matter of anything else. So it won't be possible to have another civil war. Urban vs rural interests will squabble worse than ever within the states with rural interests most often losing.
