Traditionally, comments by Lindsey Graham should be taken with a grain of salt. But, this time, Lindsey Graham spoke the truth when referring to Agent Orange.

Quote:
Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, has offered a warning to former President Donald Trump that the violent insurrection his supporters carried out against the U.S. Capitol could be his "political obituary" if he doesn't get over his 2020 election loss.

Trump, who made false accusations about the election process, urged his supporters to "fight like hell" and to march to the U.S. Capitol in a bid to keep him in office on January 6, as both chambers of Congress met to formally certify President Joe Biden's Electoral College victory. Hundreds of Trump's supporters proceeded to attack the U.S. Capitol, with many threatening to harm or kill top lawmakers, including then-Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

"What I say to him is, 'Do you want January the 6th to be your political obituary?'" Graham, an ally of the former president, told The New York Times for an article published on Saturday. "'Because if you don't get over it, it's going to be.'"

He may be right, but for the wrong reasons. Obviously, Trump didn't have anything to do with the January 6 intrusion into the US Capitol building. However, the really scary part (besides sedition) is that so many people are consumed by irrational hate of Trump that they actually believe he was complicit in the events that transpired. Of course, the MSM fueled the fire and we now live in a world where people are railroaded into jail - or worse - because of their political beliefs. Congratulations America, we've become a banana republic. Dems should be proud.

The thing about Lindsey Graham is that he'll change his mind tomorrow.

He's not wrong. There was a clear path to Trump getting re-elected. All he needed to do was concede the election, condemn the attack on 1/6, lend a helping hand to Biden in the transition, and he'd be seen now as the rational, competent leader when compared to the "old man with dementia" rhetoric about Biden the right is pushing.

Trump is a diva though, and let his ego get in the way. Being able to say "I'm right" was more important to him than actually coming out on top, and he will likely pay the price by staying a single term president.

there was no insurrection jan 6 and Trump had nothing to do with the tourists who crossed the velvet ropes in the capitol.

The actual insurrection was conducted by schumer, schiff, pelosi and others.

apparently trying to overthrow a sitting president doesn't count as an insurrection.

Pelosi surrounds DC with 25K plus troops, while Biden sends 3K troops to Afghanistan which is being overrun by insurgents.

Just as ft hood was workplace violence and ISIS the JV team, Jan 6 is now on that list of democrat theatrics and drama productions.
