OMG You think Afghans are Arabs?!
Afghans speak Iranian languages. The two official languages Pashto and Dari are both in the Iranic branch of Indo-European family.
Arabic, on the other hand, is a semitic language closely related to Hebrew.
Wow what do American schools teach to kids? Their math, science and foreign language classes are all weak, and social sciences too?
(I'm sure there are very good students, but schools are represented by average students.)
They identify as Arabs darling. And Arabs have as much diversity in language and cultures as Whites, Blacks and Hispanics, and even the Native American as well as other tribes all over the world.
I would LOVE to see China fail at trying to get hold of Afghanistan just like Russia and the U.S. has. Afghanistan is not called "Graveyard of Empires" for nothing.
Knowing how the elite families of the world operate, they are probably setting up China to fail on purpose. Give them the illusion that they are going to be the world's most dominant super power, and then let them try and handle Afghanistan, all the while the elite will fund the Taliban or create new fighting forces like they did in the past to break Russia.
Heck, the way things are going, I wonder if Beijing is even going to be able to hold the Winter Olympics in a few months? The whole region is going to be a volatile mess.

I love people discussing Afghanistan, yet do not even know basic information about the place.

Muslims don't get on with each other, the Sunni's and Shia Muslims don't get on, but both unite in their dislike of the Ahmadiyya Muslim and so it goes on.
Sunni Muslims are the dominant group followed by Shia or Shi`ite Muslims and then you have smaller groups such as Sufis, Baha’is and Ahmadiyyas, as well as Druze, Alevis, and `Alawis.
However even within these different groups there are different sects, with a history of in-fighting and tribalism.
In terms of Uighur Muslims, there is no guarantee that the Taliban will even care and recent media reports have suggested that the Taliban has outlawed Uyghur Muslim fighters in bid to befriend China.
The Taliban have refused to condemn China's persecution of Muslims in Xinjiang, instead courting Beijing's favour by stating they will not harbour Uighur Muslims in their ranks.
In this respect the Islamic faith is as divided as other faiths such as Christianity, which has numerous offshoots relating to Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Mormon etc etc.
Will China Be Able to Court Favor and Alliance With Taliban While Continuing to Massacre Uighur Muslims??
