The Civil War, The Depression, World War II, Which one wasn't worse than now?
The nation was a growing empire in WWII. Easily crushing weaker nations is what growing empires do. Germany's weakness was lack of oil. It tried to get by with coal and invading north Africa, but the USA had its own vast reserves. It was never an even fight.
Hoover was a failure, but the states were still united when he washed out. Biden may not be that fortunate.
Sure GW Bush handled both Iraq and Afghanistan much better and got us involved in 2 wars that lasted 20 years.
The fact that he got only 7 voted while Biden received 150 tells how far right this site swings.
Iraq alone cost millions of civilian lives and thousands of military costing trillions of dollars, sure Biden is far worse than GW Bush.
Iraq cost $805 billion, according to the Congressional Research Service. I never understand the need to fabricate numbers and memes about Iraq. The reality is enough; the Iraq war is now pretty clearly regarded as a debacle by most Americans, as well it should.
And people forget that when we went to Iraq, it was supported by in the vicinity of 70-80% of Americans, according to polling. Afghanistan was supported in even higher numbers. Obama as Sen. was a staunch supporter of going to Afghanistan.
Of the choices given I would probably vote for Carter, but Biden is giving him a run for his money. It's way too early to tell about Biden, however.
Bill Clinton:
- Not killing Bin Laden when he had the chance.
- NAFTA (we have not and, will never recover from this, this is the single worst financial mistake on this list. Once Chinese labor, slaves effectively, became legal every company and their brother sold out. Now, our entire manufacturing industry has grown so used to those prices for over 20 years that a return to American-made goods would instantly decapitate our economy)
George Bush 2:
- Using fake reasons to invade Iraq, an invasion that did nothing except allow ISIS to form.
- Keeping us in Afghanistan past his term, making him the initial perpetrator of the Afghan mess.
Barack Obama:
- Obamacare (it was crap but, the least egregious of the mistakes on this list)
Kamala Harris, Jen Psaki, Mark Milley and, Lloyd Austin: (since Joe Biden literally doesn't even know where he is)
- Neutered our energy independence literally Day 1, setting off a chain reaction of rampant inflation.
- Kowtowed to BLM terrorists that burned cities in 2020 by giving them a new holiday.
- Kowtowing to woke, LBGTQXYZ agendas that profess "to destroy the nuclear family and heteronormativity".
- Ran away from Afghanistan so poorly as to jeopardize tens of thousands of lives, showing our allies that for the next 3 or 7 years, we don't have their back (eventually we had to leave and the Taliban would win, it was the exit itself that was done badly and for that I really blame that dumb--s overpaid butler Lloyd Austin).
Biden (and his entire team) sucks! They messed up so much, in such a short time, and in ways that even middle-school kids could see would obviously end in failure.

If the list had omitted Biden and Trump, as too recent for honest judgement, and gone back just a little further in time, the choice would have been much easier -- Lyndon Johnson -- a grand master of the Old Politics who morphed from a Southern segregationist into an Eastern Establishment faux "liberal" in a matter of months.
But among the rest, I'd cite Clinton and Obama in a virtual dead heat. Both of them embody the core philosophy and strategy of the modern Democratic Party -- promise something to everyone, then identify and demonize a smaller group; call it "Big Business" or "the One Percent" or something else easy for the Front Row at WrestleMania to pronounce and remember. Never mind that the Great Socialist Fantasy (a/k/a the "Green New Deal") is unworkable in a globalized economy and a post-industrial world.
But separating that segment of the private sector who profit from, and depend upon political influence -- defense contractors and those who deal regularly with, and profit from Democratic and RINO urban graft, as opposed to successful, primarily-retail business, can be a challenge. Sooner or later, the entire market will collapse again -- and at that time, the Cult of the Jackass will resume its rallying bray about "Rich Republicans" -- many of whom are closeted Democrats.
