I am too young for Saigon, Vietnam defeat, America held hostage Iran, high gas prices, inflation, Carter malaise 1970s era. This is a depressing age.

The Vietnamese were/are civilized. The Afghans are not. Vietnam went on to develop a modern economy and stable government. No one in their right mind would think the same for Afghanistan.

The labor shortage may promote an advancement in Robotic technology similar to how ending slavery helped push the industrial revolution. Time will tell. Right now we have a labor shortage that is likely to persist this entire decade with pressure on prices, especially with items like housing. There is pressure on governments to provide benefits to increasing numbers of people while tax revenue is going down and debt creation and asset purchases by central banks and the resulting inflation is likely here to stay.
Who is what gender doesn't matter as much as if people make something of themselves and contribute to society, or if they end up useless eaters who want to spend other people's money.
