I had to look it up and pansexual basically means you are bisexual.
Why do we need all these new names and phrases? . . .
Because being "marginalized" has unironically gained so much political and social currency, the demand for marginalization has outstripped the supply. So now people are trying to print their own tickets to hop aboard the Marginalization Train. Someone's gotta fill all those available seats!
I have never understood why anyone had to identify their sexuality and give it a name.
Why not just have sex with a willing partner, privately, and go on your merry way, quietly.
I agree, no one cares. It's when you feel the need to write a column about it trying to explain and justify it that problems begin.
Yep. I don't care what you call yourself or what you're into as long as the above is true. Have at it!
And people do that....which leads to:
Males going into female restrooms or locker rooms, sometimes with little girls in them.
Males pretending to be females, insisting that we all 'accept' their delusion just because they 'feel' like a female, and then they beat all the actual females in sports, taking away scholarships, team placements, medals at events.
We have young kids being allowed to be 'transgender' with drugs, because, 'just as long as they don't...."
We have drag queens reading stories to tiny children.
We now have who knows how many phony 'genders', and 'I identify as a....', have been made up causing massive confusion, depression, self harm, and suicide. And if you do not know, just by looking at them, and you do not address them properly, oh, crap, did you do that at work? Guess what? It's a free trip to HR.
'But just as long as they don't....' is exactly how we got here.
Some people need labels, some people need to validate their choices in public. We are free to ignore them and go about our merry way, quietly.
Exactly. If someone wants to call themselves a potato, it affects me not one bit.
If only we were free to ignore them. I successfully ignored the transgender issue for decades and even sympathized with anyone dealing with that issue, but they refuse to leave it at that. Now they want validation and the schools to teach kids as young as kindergartners that gender is whatever they want it to be and get mad if people don’t refer to them by their preferred pronouns and want that put in to law. They claim they are women and have every right to be in women’s spaces like prisons, domestic abuse shelters, and locker rooms. Don’t even get me started on how they are ruining women’s sports.
