I'm not a big flyer, but I have in the last 6 months.
Are the airports not requiring masks in the terminal? I was in 4, and they all required masks.
I feel badly for any flight attendant that has to encounter some *******. But, if 30% of the passengers take their masks off for 15 minutes (drinking, snacking, whatnot), and some folks believe in the "recycled airplane air" BS ... then why haven't we heard more about superspreader events from flights? I mean, there's 200+ people, in close quarters, for at least an hour.
And the science very clearly has told us that masks = some prevention of YOU expelling Covid. Not prevention of ME catching Covid from you (if I'm masked)
No skin off my tailbone. I haven't been on a commercial plane since, I believe, 1999 or 2000. I have no need to go anywhere anyway. There really isn't anyplace worth going these days, unless it's out in the middle of the desert or into the mountains.
Agreed on all counts. Shouldn't be a political thing, at all. You want to pack into a metallic box in the sky for a few hours with my family? Wear a freaking mask, as will we. End of story.

I'm going to challenge myself to try and stretch a bag of pretzels over 10 hours.
It should be N95s or better, or nothing at all. This mask thing's dumber than the TSA Liquid Fetish(TM). If you're afraid, wear an N95 or better. If you don't care, don't worry about it. Same goes for crew.

Somehow this escaped my attention until just now, and I think this is absolutely DISGUSTING!! (But at least it is better than requiring everyone to be vaccinated -- or at least that is the way it is for now.)
And, btw, the above opinion is based on what I think is now a proven fact, that cloth masks do NOT prevent people from giving or getting COVID because the particles are so small.
