Millions of blacks have been successful in America. Not just a few celebs and athletes. Where have they had more success?
Reparations was an opportunity lost, but it is now water under the bridge. No one in America is a slave and no one deserves reparations just because their ancestors may have been enslaved.
Time to fix yourselves and make your own success.
France. Blacks are pretty successful in France. That came from the French Revolution. The French take their "egalite" seriously. Black people had it good in France way earlier than in America. Back in the 1960s when US blacks were almost universally oppressed, blacks in France were treated as equals.
But yeah, today blacks have it better in America than any place else.

More divisional rubbish. I just tune it out these days. Hierarchies exist, always have, always will. Learn to live with the card that god dealt you and live your life.
Yeah, based on skin color. Just live with an idea born from a thing like slavery. Brilliant..
If she is saying that historically being a default American equates to being white, she has a point. Other than that she fails on the context of our dilemma. Era, region, economics etc..
It should be the case that people such as the professor wouldn't be taken seriously. Unfortunately such people are ensconced in academia, the media, and government, not to mention HR departments everywhere.
Asians thrive here and if it doesn't work for Latinos, why are they all trying to come here?
Slavery was awful and embarrassing, agree there. But the Chinese were treated like shiite in the 19th century and they thrived afterwards. Seeing how many Asians and Latinos want to come here, government should open immigration slots in exchange for every American who wants to leave.
Blacks are 4% of the population of France. I don't see why that matters, however. Women, Jews, and blacks all received reasonably equal treatment in France, based on the concepts from the French Revolution of equality. It just is. I am not making it up.
So somebody asked where blacks had it better than the USA, and I simply noted that they have it good in France as well.

LOL. there are currently about a million black millionaires in america, and that's not like liquid wealth. Only like 3% of blacks. And this is like the best is probably ever been. Nice try there. America is not designed for blacks to succeed. It's been the opposite throughout the history of this country.
And asking about other countries is always a strawman argument. We are just talking about america, not in relative terms to other countries.
Not a single one of you would like to trade places with the average black person and try to navigate this country. And i don't mean, Lebron or Oprah where you have some once in a generation talent, but average.
That’s like a newly freed slave, spending their time complaining about that fact they were once a slave, than taking advantage of their new freedom.
horrible attempt here. Because in America a newly "freed" slave was still in a system where most of the stuff from slavery was just renamed. That newly "freed" slave still basically had no rights, no reparations, no land, no money to leave, no education, etc...silly to say they didn't "take advantage of their new freedom". This is an ignorant post. Lacks so much context.
And if you want to see what happened when black people tried to take advantage of american freedom look at "black wall street" in tulsa. Massacred and bombed to oblivion. Same with many other black communities like that. burned to the ground.
