A Bryn Mawr College professor argues that America is “only for white people.”
Speaking on the “Refuse Facism” podcast, Chanelle Wilson, assistant professor of education and director of Africana Studies at the women’s liberal arts college, said the country “didn’t work for black people.”
“Damn sure it didn’t work for indigenous people,” she continued. “It did not work for people of Mexican ancestry. It didn’t work for Asians, it didn’t work for Jewish people, it didn’t work for Japanese people. It didn’t work for Chinese people.”
“So who is this country for? This country is only for white people.”
It should be the case that people such as the professor wouldn't be taken seriously. Unfortunately such people are ensconced in academia, the media, and government, not to mention HR departments everywhere.
So the black people that are doctors and lawyers and work in Congress are failures? This person exudes the soft bigotry of low expectations.... Not cool...
The problem is that there is generation of young Americans that grew up with helicopter parents. These young Americans have no idea how to think critically and no idea when to call out lunacy. There have always been crazy professors of all belief systems. There hasnt always been so many over sheltered adults that have no clue how to care or think for themselves. Many idiots will parrot this wackos lectures as fact not because she is right but because they dont know any better. After all, American parents have delegated the task of parenting to teachers.
If this were true, people would be leaving the US in droves. Illegal migrants wouldn't be walking thousands of miles to come live here. No POCs would apply to legally immigrate to the US.
I think the good professor knows her audience and is playing to the room. She should go off campus and see how the rest of the country functions.

What would be the point.
The U.S. is one of only two countries that taxes on worldwide income.
There is an exempted amount of income, but it's not very much.
To renounce one's citizenship one would have to find another country that would grant citizenship, and would have to pay the exit tax on the amount above the asset exemption.
If America isn't working for blacks, than might I ask what country is? I see how blacks are living in most parts of Africa. I also know many blacks are very grateful not to have been born in that part of the world.
Are blacks treated better in Asia? Maybe there are some parts of Europe where they are treated better. I don't really know.
Which country does work for black people? Is there a place on earth where they are satisfied?
They are often their own worst enemies.
