A Republican governor in California could have serious implications outside the state. If Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who is 88, were to retire or die before her term ends while a Republican governor is in office, that would give a GOP leader the opportunity to appoint her replacement and, presumably, restore Republicans’ majority in the U.S. Senate.

I can't imagine a worse person to campaign for Newsom. He's horrible, but I think the people of CA think she's a bigger moron.

Feinstein's days should be numbered. At 88, she's too old to hold elected office, or any job that's paid for by the taxpayers.

K Harris is being protected from any adverse implications as there is serious consideration of Mr Biden removal from his current position. Hence, she can’t be blamed of anything or part of anything that can tar her.
