Better yet, everyone's vote should be weighted by how much, in absolute dollars, a given voter paid in income taxes. Lefties should love this since they're convinced that rich people don't pay taxes.
But it's interesting how they are getting rid of the SALT deduction which benefits rich people in BLUE states.
People pay all sorts of taxes, not just income tax. They pay sales tax, gas tax, property tax, school taxes, etc. I don't know anyone who doesn't pay some sort of tax.
And the billionaires who don't pay? Is that a problem too?

"Most emperors continued the policies of debasement and increasingly heavy taxes, levied mainly on the wealthy. The war against wealth was not simply due to purely fiscal requirements, but was also a conscious policy of exterminating the Senatorial class, which had ruled Rome since ancient times. As the private wealth of the Empire was gradually confiscated or taxed away economic growth slowed to a virtual standstill. Moreover, once the wealthy were no longer able to pay the state's bills, the burden fell inexorably on the lower classes, so that average people suffered as well from the deteriorating economic conditions."
Meanwhile back at the ranch the war on poor people continues ...
What about a flat tax? If you make $100,000 send the government a check for $22,000 (22%) No exemptions, no deductions. Income under a certain level could be exempt. You can do your taxes on a postcard.
As a senior I paid income tax and bumbling Joe doesn't care about us. I am still dumbfounded that he collects social security with all the $$ he makes.
This is why fiat-currency is both great and awful.
