Back around 2000, after the boom of the 1990s, Americans were at the height of their arrogance. Fat, ignorant, and filled with hubris.

They reacted to 9/11 not with compassion, but violence. They lashed out and bombed everything in sight. Not just the government, but the media, academic, and business establishments.

Reagan had reinforced the idea of American exceptionalism, Clinton had brought it home with "the era of big government is over."

Now Americans are humiliated the world over. Defeated in Iraq, defeated in Afghanistan, outmaneuvered by the Russians and Chinese. The private sector is filled with financialized profits and no industry, libertarian republicans who screamed "NO GOVERNMENT" are being crushed by globalism, crime is skyrocketing back to what it was in the 70s and 80s, while the population is divided more than ever.

Why is this good? Because average Americans are learning humility. Maybe now people won't be afraid to ask for help from the government. Maybe now Americans will no longer pursue global leadership, maybe now we can go back to simple living.

Though things may not look good, this transition is for the better, and it is because of Biden's humility. I hated him at first, but he is skeptical of mass immigration, foriegn intervention, and greedy profiteers. He doesn't want a socialist revolution, just a return to simpler times with less economic competition.

China can have the glory, I just want the old America, not the hedonistic America made from Reagonomics and neo-liberal reforms.

If Biden is skeptical of mass immigration, why is he facilitating it? I realize you probably won't answer because you don't want to consider exactly how far off the deep end you are, but it's a valid question.

Oh, and news flash: that crime you're so worried about? It's being facilitated by Democrats.

If this is the peak, it can only go down from here.

Biden is not new. He is the same man he has been for 50 years in government. Obviously you have not looked up his records in the Senate. He is who he is, public information, not up to you to say who you think he is or can be.

Yeah, day drinking and forum posting should be mutually exclusive activities.

Snipped the minor BS from the quote, bolded and highlighted the major BS.

You are mentally ill. Seriously.

It baffles the mind as to how anyone can think this country is at its peak with Clown Show Joe at the helm. It's been one crisis after another with this mentally deficient buffoon, and we're not done yet.

I can understand trying to have a positive attitude but when there is no leadership and everything is going to hell, there isn't much to be positive about.

There's no need to list all the things (again) that creepy demented Biden has done. Anyone that can't see that everything he touches turns to crap has their head buried in their backside.
