Democrats are faced with several options, all bad.
1) 25th amendment, giving us Kamala Harris. The truth is, Harris is a blank slate. No one really knows what she would be as president. On problem here is that she doesn't have much foreign policy experience at a time of FP crisis.
2)The Wilson option. Pres. Woodrow Wilson had a serious stroke in Oct 1919. They stuck him in a bedroom and his wife Edith took charge of the executive branch for the rest of his term.
The problem here is that Joe Biden, evidently irascible, would probably not go along with such a plan.
3)Stumble along with Joe Biden until 2024. That's obviously a high-risk option for Democrats.
Lying, senile responses, devastation in Afghanistan, crisis on our southern border, inflation fears, ignoring the US Supreme Court on evictions, ignoring a federal court on the border, being the first president in US history to be voted in contempt by our biggest ally's parliament, hiding on vacation, etc...
I know a president Harris is unwelcome to many, but it is necessary to remove the lying former vice president.
Do you think Biden will finish his term? Either resignation, 25th Amendment, or impeachment. Not what you want, but what you think.
I think too many people love this country to let this continue for 3 and a half more years.
or the very real possibility that he's six feet under before the next election day...
I am really not a fan of Biden, but prior to the Afghan fiasco I was hoping and praying that he lasts his term because I despise Harris even more. In my perfect world, Biden and Harris would be gone and Pelosi would no longer be in the position she is. But reality, it's not a perfect world...so pins and needles I sit.
