Thanks. It has NEVER been the case that healthy people were forced to quarantine. Some of these Australians don’t understand English or history. Oh well. Not my problem.
Lol, you still determined to prove your ignorance.
Who would have thought that such a simple thing as the definition of a word would be something controversial. But thems the times we are living in.
Oh and are you still pretending the people of Australia are in quarantine too?
I knew that. Quarantine of shiploads of people began during the slave trade and/or first migrations. And that doesn't (per the bold) answer the question, at hand. Keep in mind what was done during the Spanish Flu, was the people's choice to do, the government didn't mandate a damn thing. Whatever the 'doctors' thought was best to do, the people followed, 'doctors' orders.
idk, Your government may have an objection ...
Freedom House.org/countries and territories Australia Overview
"Australia has a strong record of advancing and protecting political rights and civil liberties. Challenges to these freedoms include the threat of foreign political influence, harsh policies toward asylum seekers, discrimination against LGBT+ people, increasingly stringent checks against the press, and ongoing difficulties ensuring the equal rights of First Nations Australians. Key Developments in 2020
To combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Australian authorities enforced long, strict lockdowns at different times throughout the year. In some instances, restrictions like the closure of internal state and territory borders were implemented with little warning; in December, the border between Victoria and New South Wales was closed with just over a day’s notice, stranding many people who were visiting family for the holidays. Individuals who needed to cross state borders to access health care and other essential services had difficulty obtaining exemptions."
No, they will have no objection. Were you hoping to make a point???
Im surprised there are still morons like Aussiehoff and BruSan that still think these measures are temporary. Anyone with a half of one percent of a functioning brain would have long realized that with an endemic virus there is no end to these measures. There will always be a variant that needs a booster. There will never be a level of virus or vaccination acceptable to end these measures. There will only be continued measures. Some continuously permanent, others off and on.
The moment a booster shot was needed means that deaths will happen as soon as efficacy starts to wane. Lockdowns will need to be permanent fixtures to avoid large scale deaths as vaccines only provide a limited amount of protection.
Nice touch, with the "moron" personal attack to make a rather stupid assumption based upon nothing more than your personal opinion.
There are a lot of communicable diseases we've been taking vaccines for. We've been taking these vaccines in some cases for over 70 years and moved on from the general lock-downs and quarantines for all of those from measles through diphtheria and tuberculosis to poliomyelitis.
Medical science does not sleep just because you're afraid of it.
Anyone with half of one percent of a brain would know this.

Haha, but no I don't think all of the measures are temporary. The unvaccinated will probably be stuck with a number of them
