When the very same bible says that men who rape women can pay someone and can get away with it. i mean how can they say LGBT people are bad, when the same bible says that?
Post this over in the religion forum.... it's been discussed a million times. (or do a search.)
I'm not being snarky by the way. I just think in the religion forum, you'll get more of a robust discussion over there.
it says all sorts of stuff. it even says to avoid wtichcraft. It never says witchcraft does not work, just to avoid it but yes, plural marriage and swinging etc has its roots in the bible and if you are jewish you get an added bonus, when the wife is being visited by a particular aunt, you can take up with the unmarried chicks (dont remember if it says they have to be virgins or not...hope not, otherwise life would always be instructional...)
but I dont think it mentions that LGB or whatever have to be denied rights, Im pretty sure it says you just stone em, if they lay with each other, something or another. Its been a while and quite unimportant to me
ps - aside from cherry picking certain parts you want to be objectionable before you read them (cuz lets face it, you would have never stumbled upon the passage in any daily life, even if you were a priest....) did you read any other parts for the message(s) it imparts? there are those that call it a good book and say it delivers good messages....or so I hear

Simply because many straight people feel that the oral and anal sex acts LGBT people engage in are so incredibly gross and offensive that that would never in a million years do those same sex acts to their opposite sex partners.
"If a man encounters a virgin who is not pledged in marriage, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her must pay the young woman’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she must become his wife because he has violated her. He must not divorce her as long as he lives."
You seem to believe that this means, "If you rape a virgin, they become your wife."
The word "seize" can also mean "take". If you change the word it becomes...
"If a man encounters a virgin who is not pledged in marriage, and he takes her and lies with her, and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her must pay the young woman’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she must become his wife because he has violated her. He must not divorce her as long as he lives."
Wouldn't it make more sense as... "If you have extra-marital sex with a virgin who isn't already engaged, then you must marry her because no one else will want her since she is no longer a virgin. And as further punishment, you must pay her father money, and you can never divorce her."

For Comparison, there are many Gay men and Lesbian women that also find sex between opposite sex people "incredibly gross" no?

The part you missed: and they are discovered.
So it only matters if you are caught?
