Employers here are now allowing employees to report non-masked co-workers or improperly masked workers without fear of retaliation. Apparently, OSHA put out some guidelines on the subject.

No less of a risk. At all.

And your "risk" is very small, whether vaxed, masked, not vaxed, not masked, etc.

Live your life and stop worrying. Use your immune system.

Wearing a mask on the plane doesn't stop me from living -- lol.....

If that stops people from living that's on them not the mask or any mandate.

And we have completely gone off topic -- lol.

the point that 'blue states' may see hospitals under duress has little to do with the rate of the virus alone. It has more to do with the availability of beds in that state and the rate of the virus.

It's a mental placebo that is just silly. It does nothing. Until we're ready to give up our silly virtue signaling, we aren't going to get to the business of living with the virus (which we need to do.)

You WILL get it in your life, just like you'll get the flu again. No matter how many masks you wear or shots you take, that is the reality.

You need to learn to deal with the fact that 99.9% of the time, you're going to be just fine.

I don't need to deal with anything.

The airline says I have to wear a mask so I do.

What is your area of expertise in this regard?

Exactly. Wearing an N95 slightly reduces your risk, and greatly reduces the risk for others on your plane. If everyone would do it, it would decrease the spread.

The odd thing is that taking whatever precautions you think will work, only opens up everything for everyone. So even if one does not agree with masks, I wish they would realize that the people doing it are doing so to OPEN UP SOCIETY and keep the economy running. Not the opposite.

Calling people names or assigning fear to them for trying to care about their fellow citizens does not speak well of the person doing it.

Wearing a mask has done nothing to “care about your fellow citizens” and it certainly hasn’t saved anyone’s life. You are such a martyr.

We're from Hawaii, and they have their share of stupid people too. Our friend just made two trips, back to back, to Las Vegas. He does not believe in masks or vax. He spent time in huge crowds.

Top 3 vaccinated states are under pressure too. I wonder why?
It's almost like both natural immunity and old variant vaccines don't work against Delta. Wake up and think for yourselves.
One of the reasons no one believes anything anymore is all the lies floating around.
I just watched a new commercial directed at kids getting the vaccine, and one caption said "Vaccines are highly effective against the Delta variant".
Needless to say that is a flat out lie, as many countries who are 90%+ vaccinated have all sorts of fully vaccinated people coming down with what is assumed to be Delta (most patients are not specifically tested for the variant, as it takes specialized equipment to do so).

As to natural immunity people getting the Delta variant, I have not see any peer reviewed stats showing that. It seems that the only studies are of those who are not vaccinated vs. those who are.

I will quote myself as far as ICU beds being filled up, rather than retyping it;

The only masks that will protect the wearer will be N95 or higher. Yes, there is a N100 with filters out 99.97%, vs. the N95 which filters 95%

While I have little doubt there are Wuhan virus patients in ICU's, when you hear about how some ICU's are at capacity, that does not mean all, or even most of those beds are full of Wuhan infected patients.
On any given day of any given year, ICU beds can be full of critical patients related to trauma, cardiac, pulmonary, and other life threating issues.
