Cuz those that have been following this know that the 3.5 Trillion (more accurate estimates put it at 5 Trillion) bill has nothing to do with infrastructure even though the woke dems are perverting the use of the word to dupe people into thinking it is as "Human Infrastructure" (which is really a bunch of free stuff, entitlements, climate justice, taxes, illegal alien amnesty, the list of pork/crap/waste is too long to list)
These bills are popular with a majority of Americans because they can finally see tax dollars being directed in areas that can substantially improve the quality of their lives. Enough of tax cuts for the rich and welfare programs for the military industrial complex. It’s time to spend money on the people.
You aren’t representative or even knowledgeable about Americans. Most of us are independent and don’t need government handouts to live our lives.

So are you saying the federal government shouldn't send aid to the states devastated by floods, hurricanes and other natural disasters. That's a handout.

The 3.5T pork bill your awful party passed has nothing to do with natural disasters. What is your point?

You said you are independent and don't need government handouts to live your life. My question is...should the government give money to states for natural disasters. You either want government in your life or you don't.

Your point is too ridiculous to respond to. There is a vast difference between basic disaster relief and the $3.5T boondoggle that your awful party is inflicting on the country. Do you understand that people can be in favor of responsible government spending without being anarchists?

We desperately need to repair and update our infrastructure. I think states should pay for their own though

This bears repeating here - it is *important* to know what bills are under consideration

There is confusion here on what "Infrastructure" bill is being talked about.
There are *2* such bills
1. 1.5 Trillion Bi-partisan bill that has actual/real *infrastructure* provisions for bridges, roads, etc (but has provisions for such ill-defined things such as "environmental justice" provisions - wtf is that?)
2. 3.5 Trillion (but most expert economists say it's really more like 5 Trillion) "Human Infrastructure" which is really the Welcome to Socialism package with endless free stuff and entitlements, tax hikes, illegal alien amnesty, federal control of elections, and more.
Pelosi is holding the *real* infrastructure bill hostage for vote by saying congress must pass the Welcome to Socialism bill first (by simple majority under Reconciliation rules).
Trump did want a *real* infrastructure bill, but minus the woke-foolery. He did NOT want the totally destructive 3.5 Trillion Welcome to Socialism bill.
The word "Infrastructure" has been perverted by the woke left.

The 3.5(5) Trillion bill is the fake infrastructure bill and the one the Moderate Democrats were at first concernced about and not willing to vote for - but ultimately caved to Pelosi's Dark Side Jedi Mind Tricks.
Most of us are not like you. Americans want to see their tax dollars spent on them for a change.
I love the idea of spending tax dollars in ways that benefit Americans and I doubt many people have problems with that idea, at least at a high level. The problem with the $3.5T reconciliation package, at least as how it’s been talked about so far (sounds like it still needs to be officially written), is that it’s full of unnecessary spending, and the definition of infrastructure has been stretched so far that these politicians are arguing that pretty much anything is “infrastructure,” (like, even an amnesty for illegal immigrants) and therefore, relevant.
Heck, even the bipartisan “Infrastructure Bill” is packed full of spending related to things that are not technically the types of infrastructure projects that most Americans want to see addressed (roads, bridges, etc).
Instead of posting here, someone repped me and left me a snarky comment about how I contradict myself, but I don’t see my statements as being contradictory at all. I support investments into the future of this country, but I have no confidence in the ability of the the current crop of politicians who comprise congress to do the right thing and get this done in a meaningful way, by truly focusing on infrastructure investments without slipping in a lot of unrelated and frivolous spending. Most of the bills they create and pass are absolute garbage.
