I know a lot of people think this is so awful and that we are turning into a dictatorship, but the fact is forced vaccination and suppression of information has happened several times in the history of the US and has happened in virtually ever major nation or empire in the history of our species.

Never before have so many people had the ability to post information where people can see it. It's really something new that we've never had before. It's hard for me to say whether we should be suppressing so called misinformation or not. I could argue both sides of the issue to be honest. The problem is in my opinion they are going way overboard and censoring everything they deem to be "hateful" .... I think all this censorship makes people trust authority figures that much less.

https://www.governing.com/now/the-lo...-united-states

Human beings are genetically wired to not trust authority and want to believe conspiracies. I think people put on rose colored glasses when they look at the past with nostalgia. On the other hand the way the people in charge are handling this, via suppression of information, just backfires on them in my opinion. They should do the exact opposite and lay everything out there, make the horse paste available in OTC pill format for everyone who wants it... give people remedy that is floating around out there as a treatment they ask for and when certain ones fail miserably, perhaps they'll willingly choose the vaccines. A little reverse psychology can do wonders.

I think there's too much big money pressure to steer us in certain direction in society for this to ever happen, but it would work if things were more transparent.

Because something has "happened before" doesn't make it a good thing.

Dictatorships have happened many times before. Not a good thing. Genocide has happened many times before. Not a good thing. Slavery has happened many times before. Not a good thing. Wars have happened many times before. Not a good thing (although some have resulted in good things). Etc.

So true...people are incredibly obedient and compliant today!

I remember hearing people say they would never wear masks...now I see them wearing them whenever its required! LOL

Speaks volumes about their level of patriotism too...if the govt told them to start jumping off bridges, they would ask for directions to the nearest one!

Ive come to believe, if there is ANY possibility of arrest or conflict with police...PEOPLE WILL OBEY/COMPLY IMMEDIATELY.

MAGA.
99.9% of harmful misinformation comes from the Left. Even the stupid stuff right-wing doofuses believe (like Q Anon) comes from the Left to make the right-wing doofuses look stupid.
