Lots more articles out there. I googled schools COVID and this was one of the first stories.
In South Carolina they have over 3,000 cases of COVID in the schools. Schools just went back last Wednesday. It's only just begun.

I'm not an alarmist but we are seeing a surge in our community and it is impacting concerts, restaurants, schools, businesses and hospitals.
Oh "cases" again. A self created emergency if ever there was one.

The above is from another thread. Some highlights worth noting, my italics and bold, QUOTE:

"Now that we have had 18 months to “slow the spread” it is time to take stock of the pandemic. [snip] The media and some government health authorities are still pushing hysteria and fear, but that should not prevail. Let’s look at the good news that can calm our fears about COVID-19. [snip]

"Herd immunity for the alpha strain is here. [snip] The official number of cases is about 10% of the population, but several antibody studies show that the percentage of those with natural immunity is 4-6 times higher. Dr. Marty Makary, a Johns Hopkins professor, estimates that 80-85% of the population is immune from natural immunity and vaccination. [snip]

"There is very little, if any, spread of COVID-19 from asymptomatic persons. This lie was spread early to maximize fear of this new virus. COVID-19 is like other respiratory viral infections—you catch it from being around someone who has symptoms. [snip]

"The death rate nationally for COVID-19 has been going down since January. Breathless “news” reporters talk about cases, hospital occupation, and contagiousness but never mention the death decline. There has been a small uptick in deaths in some areas over the last week, but not anywhere close to last winter. (There will be some variations in the death rate as we transition to endemic status) [snip]

"We do not need to be afraid of COVID-19 anymore. Let’s begin to end the hysteria and fear. The worst is over and we are transitioning to endemic status which means a low level of cases and deaths.

"We will have many fewer deaths if we start to treat the infection early now with the available outpatient treatments. We should resist further attempts at lockdowns and mask mandates as neither worked. We know exactly whom to protect—the elderly and those with chronic health problems. That’s where we should concentrate our energies." [snip] END EXCERPTS

COVID is still a thing, and likely will be for the foreseeable future. That doesn't mean life can just be put on hold indefinitely.

I know some Jewish people and they say that in spite of them being over 80% vaxxed, cases are skyrocketing. It just seems to go in waves and hits everywhere eventually.

It’s like Russian Roulette- take your chances. FYI my son is over a month in a coma in ICU. Yesterday they said his one lung blew out. Do you really want to take a chance? Or have your family get these calls? -
more Covid porn. Nice headline.

Sturgis ended 10 days ago, that's most of the incubation/infectious period. Over 500K people.

On Aug 2nd, before the rally, avg daily cases were ~50. Since then, cases now average 310.

In Meade County, 38 new cases and 343 active cases. 140 hospitalizations. SD has currently ample hospital capacity (5% Covid, 16% ICU and 36% available ICU beds).

So, even if there's eventually 5,000 cases, that's just 1%.

As of Wed. Aug 24, Fletcher had a total of 33 COVID-19 cases, 32 students, and 1 staff case, according to the DCPS COVID dashboard.

Fletcher Middle School is moving online through Sept. 2 starting Thursday, reports Action News Jax, after cases at the beachside school hit critical mass, which means cases and close contacts exceeded 20% of the student population.
It has 1,200 students per school system website.

assuming you mean Israel, cases are indeed skyrocketing - their daily average now = January high.

https://ourworldindata.org/vaccination-israel-impact

Israel is 68% 1 dose, 62% fully-vaxxed. 80% over 60 are fully-vaxxed. But cases among the old (first vaxxed) are only down 17% from peak (60-79) and 32% (80+). And yes, they had dropped significantly. So, the non-vaxxed continue to catch Covid, and the long-ago vaxxed are also now catching Covid.

Hospitalizations are down ~20% from January, ICU's are about 40% down.

It is a disgrace that our politicians are more concerned for themselves then what is best for the country and that is a problem on both sides of the aisle.
They’ve found a way to blame Covid on Trump supporters now, which so many believe. It’s good to be the media king.

So you post something about El Paso, but I thought the migrant crisis was not the cause of the surge?

You're linking to a tweet from last fall. Stop it. Texas deaths are lower than last summer. FL deaths not only are below last summer, but they've taken a nosedive since going to monoclonal treatment.
Good eye. I didn’t even look at the date of the tweet. Thank you!
