I don't think it was a hate crime because the first person he shot at was black. I do think it is more likely that he did it because he was on mind altering drugs.
If this is true, and if this can be confirmed, than this thread was taken down some dark rabbit hole. It's mentally and emotionally draining to have to think about race.
Are concealed carry permits allowed in FL? A good guy with a gun could have shot the killer before or after the first shot, when the victim might have been saved, instead of getting pumped with multiple bullets.
That's interesting considering the latest demands for segregation come from the left-wing intelligentsia/academia ("Black only" dorms, student clubs and organizations, graduations, etc.)

Ah, but being out in public where others judge you for being a Black male (member of a highly disproportionately violent crime-committing group) is a choice, as well. Simply make the choice to not go anywhere and you won't receive that kind of treatment. Same as choosing to not fly to avoid TSA scrutiny that assumes everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

Every law-abiding citizen should be able to get a CCW. Maybe violent criminals might think twice before pushing their luck. No, I'm not one of those persons who thinks "an armed society is a polite society". I just think most violent criminals don't understand anything but violence I need to be afraid. Violent criminals are predators and need to be treated like such.

We live in a society where you have to work in order to survive. That requires, for most jobs, going out into public. Alot of things I don't have a choice for. I know what you're trying to do. You're not changing my mind. I'm not going to tolerate being judged for things that I have no say in.
Again, answer my questions:
Why should I be willing to put up with any of that?
The gunman will not be charged with murder, but will be jailed for not wearing a mask and being unvaxed.

The irony is that Miami, and Florida as a whole, has a higher murder rate than Oregon or Portland. Sounds like many murderers in Florida aren't deterred by the death penalty. I'm not saying the killer doesn't deserve it. I'm not saying justice won't be served. I'm talking about PREVENTION. Criminals need to be scared of society, not the other way around.
I lived in a majority Hispanic neighborhood and there was no crime on the level of black neighborhoods. So there are non-white areas out there that don’t look like Southside Chicago.
This is all the fault of Democrats. You have a demographic brainwashed to believing we’re permanent helpless victims with unlimited access to guns so now every inner city rivals Afghanistan.

If anything, the shooter was likely a (D), but even so I wouldn't blame all (D's) for the action of one cold blooded killer.
