There are many discussions surrounding the topic of Afghanistan in this thread. You tried to pretend it's only about whether we should have moved the embassy, and / or the withdrawal process to Bagram...
I pretended no such thing. I simply was sticking to the specific discussion I was involved in before you chose to instert yourself.
Why would you ask me? I am not the commander in chief.
But if I was the CiC, I would not withdraw US troops and leave the country for the Taliban before I evacuate our troops and allies using Bagram airfield.
I think any other president would have done the exact opposite of what Biden has done.
Packing the urban Kabul airport with US troops, Allies, and friendly Afghans while depending on the Taliban (!) for perimeter policing in the middle of Afghanistan is the stupidest idea any president has ever thought of.
