Actually, yes, sometimes the victims are to blame.
If you're drunk and walking down the highway in the wee hours wearing dark clothing, well, that's why you got hit by the car. Maybe you ought not have done that.
You weren’t blaming the protesters who were dancing in the highway in the middle of the night when a driver accidentally hit them. Quite the opposite, you were pissed at the driver.
What, do you think they were in prison? They have had months and months to get out. Trump signed the cut and run Doha deal which gifted Afghanistan to the Taliban 18 months ago. It took nothing more than buying a ticket and heading to the airport and flying a commercial jet to wherever. Maybe they never expected the Taliban to take over so quickly, but it was inevitable that they would. In any case, they had a chance to get out and blew it. Let 'em pay.

Apparently if you trust your government to let you know whether an area is safe you're also to blame.
Ah, so you're willing to sacrifice people you don't consider intelligent.
Can't fix stupid. It really was no secret how things were going to go. Especially for those over there. For people to wait until the last minute shows a complete lack of disregard for themselves and the troops still there.

Erik Prince has responded to Psaki's attacks against him in an interview.
"I almost wear it as a badge of honor if she attacks me. I think those are tougher words for me than she has ever even had for the Taliban. I'm certainly not in this to make money, but … I can't just bill an owner of an airplane to fly their uninsured jet into a war zone to evacuate people. I have to charge something, and unlike the federal government which just prints money ad nauseam and creates it and then wastes it, that's not how we can roll as private citizens. … She's firing torpedoes at boats that are trying to help at a Dunkirk type of evacuation."
He criticized Washington "who decided to give up Bagram, our largest airbase in the region - which is actually defendable - to say we're gonna do our final staging out of Kabul, an airport in the middle of a city of four and a half million surrounded on hills by three sides, where just ten guys, with a couple of motor tubes can shut the whole place down and destroy billions of dollars of U.S. aircraft and kill 1000s of people on those aircraft, and that's what I'm afraid we're in store for over the next few days, a few hours."

Prince is a pos.
His statement means little.
Read into just how deep he dreams of getting his contractors into our military so he can profit from it.
