Either you grew up in the former Soviet Union and still have an official portrait of Comrade Stalin in your living room or you’re simply off your medication.

Nothing you have said makes any sense. Heck, even in the former Soviet Union, there was a heavy price they paid for “free.” I strongly suggest that you speak to somebody, anybody, that grew up in the former Soviet Union or any of their former satellite countries… They will tell you how bad Communism/Socialism really is.

Agreed every investment carries risk.
The govt 1) refusing to enforce contracts 2)forcing landlords to allow people to live on their property against the landlords will for free go so far behind risk

Millions of jobs are available
If someone at this point doesn't want to work then go live in the gutter where you belong

The longer deadbeats are enabled the worse and more entitled they become

At the start of the pandemic nobody was renting because the Economy was in shambles.

You think tossing Millions of people out in the streets is a remedy?

And no fault of the landlord.

These people can get jobs. There are tons of them in my area, advertising $17 and $18 an hour. A married couple can bring in around $70,000 on that - and for a completely unskilled job like stocking shelves at Target.

And remember - this wasn't the fault of the landlords, either. Why should they be forced to cover the living expenses of someone else's family for a year? They have their OWN family to support.

Oh, please.

When have you ever heard of someone who was ABLE to work dying from being thrown out in the street? Social agencies help those who WANT to be helped, and there are shelters. When was the last time you read about dozens of homeless people found frozen to death under a bridge?

Yes, homeless people DO die for reasons related to being homeless but they are not the kind of people who would be able to qualify to actually rent an apartment -- unless I am VERY much mistaken. And, yes, I have known homeless people but the ones I knew were voluntarily homeless (young people who did not want to follow rules). The other kind I do feel sorry for -- those whose personal demons prevent them from living normal lives.

Some people think that EVERYONE deserves a free ride in life, but I am not one of those people.

Remember the wise words of Euell Gibbons - "Many parts of a pine tree are edible."

Excellent reason to Stack the court and remove those paid for judges with ones that actually care for the people they serve.
