I read this a few hours ago … sounded so bizarre that I did some checking on both the former
Deputy of State (he’s also former Green Beret) and the interviewer & TV Station involved.

Univision aired a bombshell allegation in the midst of its coverage of the United States' disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Per former Army Green Beret and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Roger Pardo-Maurer, the Department of Defense had knowledge of the homicide bomber at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, and scrambled a Predator drone only to order it to stand down as it locked on its target. Per Pardo-Maurer, the stand-down order was given in deference to negotiations with the Taliban.
But Pardo-Maurer went further in his interview. He said not only did they know where and when it would happen, but that they had a Predator drone lock on the bomber, but that “they” refused to grant permission to take the guy out. “[Permission] was requested and was denied,” he said. The absolute preponderance of lies that are being sold right now, and being circulated across the devices of dozens of people I've heard talking about them, nearly every one of which was either a partial or complete lie, are coming from the right because they feel they have Biden on the ropes with this.
Do you really think for a second that a person piloting a drone had a shot at a suicide bomber heading towards American marines and civilians and didn't shoot because some pencil necked suit in Washington told them to stand down? A person who actually believes that has either been watching too many movies, or they are a complete moron.
And on top of that, we have no clue what negotiations are going on or what they are trying to accomplish. I doubt RedState has access to the American and/or Taliban negotiators.
