Their goal is to concentrate rental properties into large investment firms like Blackrock. All the policies implemented during this pandemic have been designed to suck from the middle and funnel that to the top and bottom, which is where the progressive voter base resides in large part. Small business suffers and large highly liquid entities become the beneficiaries.

In the beginning it made sense to have a short moratorium on evictions when we were not sure what we were up against, rather than have hundreds of thousands of people become homeless with no where to go. Don't forget, many were working and lost their jobs because they were laid off or the business closed for good.
However to have had this go on nd on, with non-elected and accountable agencies (like the recent CDC decision) is absurd.
Biden & Co want to redistribute money any and every way they can.

I was fortunate that my tenants paid their bills, but if they didn't, I still had to pay multiple mortgages, otherwise I would have been in debt to the lenders, without any relief from the government.

Lets face it, this is another case of class warfare, where it is assumed landlords/owners are rich, and tenants are poor. Obviously this woman invested money and used her good credit to make money on rentals. Why should she be in financial trouble while the person/s responsible are not held to account?
So, why are the poor given all sorts of taxpayer money, and the owners left holding the bag?

I love how people think that the government can pay everyone for everything needed. Government has no power to create wealth. Only work can create wealth, and government destroyed work.

We will soon see a collapse of wealth in this country that lasts as long as the COVID restrictions.

For the record, I'm not a fan of the policy or of Biden.
You do know Biden could have ended that policy 7-8 months ago just like when he ended Trumps remain in Mexico policy, right?

Isn't it illegal for the government to take private property without paying? Isn't this what happened here for a few months? If the government did this, then they must pay. People who lost money because the government said renters could live for free on someone else's private property might have the right to sue in order to collect their money.

That is so sad. I'd be upset too if that was me. It's just not right or fair to her or others that own rental property. How the heck is this fair to landlords? Don't they count?

Seems to me most rental agreements have a clause whereby a landlord can evict someone to move a family member into a unit.
