31 US military members died during Trump's first year in office. Did Conservatives on city-data call for Trump's resignation?

Yes, the bombing this week was absolutely horrific. I've prayed for those service members who were killed and their families every night since it happened. May they rest peacefully.

It's war. War is awful. War represents the absolute worst of mankind. People die. And it's really, really sad.

Bush, Obama, Trump, and now Joe Biden have all seen troops die under their presidency. Does that mean they all should have resigned from office?

After being in Afghanistan for 20 years, Biden is finally pulling us out (based on an agreement negotiated by Trump last year).

Biden is taking advice from the commanders on the ground in Kabul and senior pentagon officials. Just like Trump, Obama, and Bush did before him.

But to ensure fairness and call out city-data posters on their hypocrisy, did any of you folks who think Biden should resign after 12 US troops were killed earlier this week also suggest that Trump should resign when 31 military members were killed during his first year in office?

Lol, I can't believe this thread. If someone has to actually explain how bad it was bungled, the op would never get it.

The Marines who died didn't die during a war. They died because Biden was stupid enough to break the deal with the Taliban, withdraw troops leaving civilians behind, then having to send troops back to get them.

This was an epic failure, the biggest blunder made in the history of NATO according to Merkel's replacement. We've lost allies, look weak, and now we will be targeted as a country thanks to open borders and Biden's failure.

Honest Democrats have said as much, the media has said as much, world leaders have said as much, and NATO has said as much.

There IS no comparison to Trump or any previous president when it comes to this. Stop trying to change the subject.

You cannot wipe the blood from Biden's hands no matter what you come up with.

Did you ever call for Trump to resign or be impeached or strung up by his toenails? I’m guessing you did.

The question then becomes why aren’t YOU demanding the same for Biden, when he has done so much worse than Trump ever did? It’s not about 12 troops vs. 31 troops; it is about dereliction of duty and incompetence on Biden’s part.

If you want to discuss hypocrisy of city-data posters and call out their “hypocrisy”, make sure you are blameless first.

I come from a military family, married a military man, raised a son currently in the military. There is an incredible difference between losing a military member because of the nature of armed conflict and losing one because some politician wanted a photo op. That is on top of the incredibly STUPUD way they demanded they leave. You don’t start sending out your troops until after your non-combatives are removed. And, the person who never served a day of combat in his life or even wore a uniform made that call against his military advisors’ recommendations.

The difference is HOW the withdrawal was being done and WHY those troops died. Yes, service members volunteer and their families should be prepared the possibility of their death, but they didn’t sign up to die in vain so some bumbling fool can get political talking points by a certain date.

Good post! Biden is in fact doing everything that the left accused Trump of doing. Including the infamous Russia collusion and assaulting women. But they let Biden pass because he just happens to have a D next to his name. I wonder if he and Obama were to all of a sudden change their party affiliation to Republican, would these loyalists still stand by them or would they bail?

Excellent comment.

I really question those who keep defending Joe on this.

Bingo.

Dying during combat and during a botched evacuation due to incompetent leaders and a disastrous plan are two different things.

If troops are dying during an evacuation, you know the plan was a disaster.

Sounds alot like what happened to our soldiers during the Battle of Mogadishu. They had already planned for a night raid since their intelligence told them that was the best way to get the warlords they were after, but then Washington started to interfere. They wanted the raid to be changed to daylight so they can see what was going on from satellite images from above.
