And do we then have an obligation to police Central America.

one of the biggest problem at the border is that families are fleeing brutal military attacks. In Venezuela there are stories of elite police forces gunning down people. So families flee.

So do we use military aggression to take over the country so that people will not put an unnecessary burden on our borders.

Surely if we advocate the USA is the police for Afghanistan - we should advocate the same kind of policy in Central America because there is even a more direct influence on our life here in the USA.

On a serious note, what is with the raping ? Doesn't that make them gay if they rape another guy ?
No. Rape is not about sexual attraction. It's about power and dominance.

Breitbart is coming to the aid of gay men in Afghanistan?

We have people in this country who would love to attack Gays -- and some do.

Responding to a homosexual meet up posted on social media in many countries tends not to have good outcomes.

Your link CLAIMS 2 Taliban used social media to lure 1 gay man to a meeting. Despite 20 years in Afghanistan, their laws survived western values.

Homosexual behaviors have been subject to death in Afghanistan, for centuries.

Gay people are not tolerated in many countries. US ally, Saudi Arabia, adheres to a literal translation of the Quran and capital punishment is a very real consequence.

Sodomy laws persist in many countries, including, for example, South Korea which trends no religious affiliation.
In Uganda, a lesbian is treated to repeated rape to show her what’s she missing.

Homosexuality carried the death penalty in colonial times in the US. SCOTUS in 2003, invalidated sodomy laws in 13 states. Gay men have long been targeted with civilian violence in the US.

Biden robotically read to us that he has extracted a promise from the Taliban that this group of primitive savages will guarantee the safe exodus of left behind Americans and those Afghans who formerly worked with us, who wish to leave that war ravaged land. He believes them.

Is he familiar with the term, "Taqqiya," a Koranic order that requires Muslims to lie to infidels when dealing with them? Evidently not. Arafat used that with President Clinton when signing the Oslo Accords and the Mullahs of Iran pulled he same stunt with Obama with the Iran Nuclear Deal. Biden has bought another bridge over the East River. A massive human disaster looms.

No one in authority, not even Biden himself has addressed the major concern of many that the women of Afghanistan, under the Taliban will once again be treated as less-thans. When we took over in 2001, women were given the freedom to doff their burkas, go to school and learn to read and write, to become professionals, to have human rights.

But now they will be forcibly returned to the Islamic dark ages. But where is the American women's movement on this? Where is Linda Sarsour, herself an American Muslim, who led marches against President Trump, accusing him of being a woman abuser? Where are the voices of Congresswomen Omar, Tlaib, AOC and Pressley, the Gang of Four, to warn the Taliban not to revert to the rape, beating and humiliation of their women? Not a word. Should they not know better?

Don't kid yourself that they disagree with Islam or Orthodox Judaism on those subjects.
OK.....so you're proving my own point. In Islam, it is still legal to throw gays off roofs and stone adulterers to death. In fundamentalist Christianity and Orthodox Jewry, it is not legal. There is no comparison between Islamic extremists and ultra-religious Christians and Jews.

All the money spent on those cowards ( a trillion dollars) could have been invested in our people and our country not in nation building.

No more money for nation building-THAT is putting Americans first.

I’m not going to miss a single one of them and neither are you.

Afghanistan is a very poor, rugged, mountainous country where the majority live in rural areas under tribal rule.
It’s main export is heroin ( to Europe).

The US has spent over $2 Trillion over 20 years and it drove the urban economies.

Despite 19 western countries were engaged in Afghanistan, and a puppet president installed, the country has never been LGBTQ friendly, just like long time US ally, Saudi Arabia which relies on a literal translation of the Quran.

In 2001 the US invaded Afghanistan to crush the Taliban. In 2019-20, the US negotiated the withdrawal of all troops with the Taliban and reached an agreement to do so on 2/29/2020 with a 5/1/2021 deadline.

By 2020 year end, only 2500 US troops remained and 5000 Taliban fighters had been released from Afghan prisons.

Biden inherited a no- win situation.

The US industrial military complex demands constant feeding. Where to next?
