Fair enough, it "started" prior to the insurrection, and continued on for those few who did not join in on the looting. You forget all the things Trump said to get them fired up:

The FBLie used a fake dossier which they knew was fake to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Trump. The FBLie is no fan of Trump. The FBLie dropped this investigation due to them having their hand in the rioting at the Capitol building. They’re covering their azzes. Like they manufactured the kidnapping of Michigan’s governor, they manufactured a bullsh1t insurrection.

Im not sure the FBI should even be involved in this...its puts them in a very awkward position, and either way, it could be construed as the FBI taking political sides.
What the FBI should have done when this came to them, is decline to investigate or get involved, since the findings would put them in such a position.
I wonder if there will be a report on Afghanistan.
