What is being described here is just a slow trickle of exiting school board members. We need to see those numbers increase rapidly and by at least 100-fold.
These school board members have been harming the children of these parents in an extreme, insidious and flat out evil manner. They should consider themselves fortunate they are getting out with their lives.
The article appears to reference cases where the vitriol surrounded mask and vax requirements.
And EITHER WAY, a school board will be screamed at, no matter what they do. If they require masks, if they don't require masks. If they require their teachers vaxxed, if they don't require their teachers vaxxed.
The public is just spoiling for a screamfest.
Make school board meetings boring again.
They're fed up with the "leftiness" of the education system, in general. This is just the straw that broke the camel's back.
I don't feel sorry for them at all. They brought in on themselves by pushing the racist CRT stuff. I'm glad there's been pushback and that these extreme liberals are leaving. Now maybe they will be replaced by people who represent what the community - and the parents - want to be taught.

I've been to school board meetings when school boundaries are being discussed, and they've had to hire armed security.

Look. Every single person employed within the public education system, from the top administrators to the lowest janitors, is there for a singular reason - to educate or support the education of the pupils at that school according to the parents' wishes.

The state doesn't own our children, and there's no obligation for any parent to educate their kids though the public school system.
The schools are there FOR THE PARENTS. It's the LOCAL COMMUNITY which pays for and sends their kids there. The kids don't pay for it. The administrators don't pay for it. The teachers don't pay for it. They ALL work for the parents, and they all have performance expectations.
If the school or district isn't doing their job in a way that people agree with, they should EXPECT to hear about it, and their response should NOT be to challenge the parents. My God, that' the LAST thing they should do.
I can't even fathom that you're defending the people running the public schools right now. Forget all the woke bullsnot for a moment and just consider their cost vs their performance. They're failing and have been for decades, as more and more money is dumped down the drain.
We've gone from having the smartest and best educated students in the world to way down the list. And you're defending that garbage? Get serious. Being held accountable for their performance is PRECISELY what they need.

My kids school doesn't teach "CRT". Their curriculum has barely changed in 15 years, yet you have people screaming about it on a regular basis at meetings because one teacher posted something pro-BLM. School board members were voted out and replaced by people the police union backed to run/
Then there are the mask nuts. Our state mandated masks. People still came to school board meetings and screamed about masks, citing George Soros, bill gates, etc, as expected.

The CRT strategists play the denial card all the time. It's part of the covert strategy they use, along with the cover words that embody the ideology.
Video after video from inside the classroom or from the students themselves pop up proving that the denial card is a lie.

The majority of parents. And that's how school board members are elected. By the majority of parents who care enough to get to the polls.
Schools aren't tasked with accommodating every single parents wish, as in those parents during the Obama admin who didn't want the President's name mentioned in the curriculum.

CRT aside, this book has been ordered by dozens of schools. Call it by whatever name you want, but it teaches that whites are evil.
If you don't want to watch the video, this is the B&N link, and you can see that there is a very wide difference of opinion between the (liberal) press and by "ordinary" people who bought or read the book. (Read the "professional" opinions and then read the comments by ordinary people.)
