You should go over to the thread complaining about Trump being awful for negotiating a peace deal and withdrawal with the Taliban and share your wisdom there as well.

What's the over/under before we are back in there again, which we will be if they move on to Pakistan and nukes.

They need to carpet bomb them. Of course that will never occur. It disgusts me to see these savages with M-4's with ACOG optical scopes, ballistic helmets, body armor and other equipment that many National Guard and Reserve units don't even have. Evidently, there are some U.S. trained former Afghan military pilots flying the Blackhawks for the Taliban.

I've never seen such obvious corruption, malfeasance, incompetence and dereliction of duty as in this president's administration and the Congress. The president, his cabinet, staff, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and most of the public servants that we keep re-electing and sending to Washington are in dire need of replacement.

What's done is done. At least we won't be spending $300 million per day on Afghanistan. It's their mess now.

You do realize we've been leaving hardware in the sandbox for over a decade. Supposed to be for the 'new Afghan Army'? The 'new Iraqi Defense Forces'?

Here's why: in the decade since the 2003 US-led Iraq invasion, the US has spent a fortune training and arming the Iraqi army in the hopes of readying it to secure the country once America left. That meant arming the Iraqi army with high-tech and extremely expensive American-made guns, tanks, jeeps, artillery, and more.

But the Iraqi army has been largely a failure. When ISIS invaded northern Iraq from Syria in June, the Iraqi forces deserted or retreated en masse. Many of them abandoned their American equipment. ISIS scooped it up themselves and are now using it to rampage across Iraq, seizing whole cities, terrorizing minorities, and finally pushing into even once-secure Kurdish territory. All with shiny American military equipment.
If you're just now getting upset over this issue you REALLY HAVN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION, lol.

I wonder why Biden & Harris wasn’t the parade king and queen. I would have paid their airfare.
