Yep. Coupled with a prison system that locks people up for trivial offenses, which then turns them into hardened criminals, increasing crime. Prison in the US is about making money and 'punishing' criminals (which creates more crime). It has nothing to do with cleaning up the streets, or rehabilitating people.
i focus on the drug war simply from life experiences, my mother was a nurse starting in the 1940s and by the time i came around she was coming home from work and shooting up and falling asleep after she made dinner of course, she was addicted for years and maintained her career as well as being an upstanding citizen within the community..

That’s like asking Republicans if they value nationalism. The answer is yes. But such questions are becoming more immaterial by the day. It’s not what we the people want that is currently steering the boat. When will people, regardless of political affiliation, understand who is calling all the shots? It’s big money in charge. They are grabbing power at epic rates. You have to be blind not to see the totalitarian method of ruling.

And if they started that in the US.....what? You have guns, so you'd shoot the police? You'd attack the state capitol and kill the Governor?
it has nothing to do with life when the people who want guns everywhere also want abortion to be banned. it's a convenient single issue vote that keeps certain politicians and their mistresses laughing all the way to the bank.
Don't seem to care about 13 servicemen/women killed in Afghanistan or the other people killed by that bomb. Don't care about babies being aborted. Don't care about hundreds of blacks in inner cities murdered every day.

This is just another hypocritical contrived question. I have no idea why you think liberals don't care about people killed by the bombing, nor about blacks killed (clearly, they care more than conservatives) - and I also don't know why you keep pretending babies are being aborted. No baby is aborted. Just an embryo or fetus.
If you want to talk about valuing life, keep in mind that it's usually conservatives who favor the death penalty, who are pro-war, and who tend to threaten violence.
I would like to see less abortion, so I support universal healthcare, sex ed in schools starting from middle school at the latest, mandated paid parental leave, subsidized childcare, and increased maternal health measures, particularly in states with very high maternal and infant mortality rates like Texas.
The right, on the other hand, simply says ban it and screw addressing any of the structural issues that make pregnancy impossible for many women to carry out.
