I trust this says what you say it says. I'm no god reading charts fo some reason. Seems the difference in numbers is that your link talks about the entire state while the link in the OP and the other one I shared is one hospital system in and around Ann Arbor. Is that correct?
Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates
Since May 2021, people living in counties that voted heavily for Donald Trump during the last presidential election have been nearly three times as likely to die from COVID-19 as those who live in areas that went for now-President Biden.
The US military has had VACCINE MANDATES forever.
Funny no one complained about it, protested it or said anything about it.
Does the right wing want COVID to end? I Think not. I think the GOP sees COVID as a Convenient political tool. How else can one explain their anti-science, anti-vax and antimask stances?
When you join the military you lose your freedom. A lot of people know that. Though I see no reason for the military to mandate the COVID vax either unless they’re experimenting…. Like they tend to do with their soldiers!

The thread has been about Michigan as a whole - but that 20% is pretty accurate in every region.
There is no place is Michigan (or anywhere for that matter) that Covid patients are the majority of the patients. Unless you find some weirdo 12 bed ER hospital.
So ................of over 10,000 diagnosed as Covid Positive
The number of Covid-19 patients in Michigan requiring
ongoing hospitalization were 4,638 as of Monday .
Got it.
If you come down with Covid there is a 50-50 chance you will require hospitalization.
It is a sad fact that many nurses resist vaccines. My mother was a nursing professor after retiring from clinical work, and it used to make her absolutely crazy. Because I have autoimmune disease, I have more than a few doctors, and all of them have been proponents of vaccination, including the booster shot.
~97% of US MDs are vaccinated. And we are supposed to believe the anti-vax paranoids in this and other threads somehow know better.
Michigan hospitals aren’t overrun with Covid patients
Less than 20% of inpatients are Covid positive.
That's not even really what matters. What matters is ICU capacity vs. burden over the next 10 days to two weeks.......
Note right now two entire regions in Michigan have fewer than 10 ICU beds available and two others around 20. If you feel good with that it's only because you are in denial or wantonly clueless.
Some yes, not all. For example many in South Africa are testing positive, but did not seek admission for covid.
The good news is all these unvaccinated who caught covid will now have acquired immunity, that is better than the vaccinated immunity levels.
