Far as I can tell there is little to stop them from succeeding.
Seems the Democrats thought of it first.

Like all those corporations that donated to the DNC?

Pro-union democrats? What is this, 1970?
As for immigration and minorities, don't discount the democrat's ability to completely alienate them as well.

They sure don’t have to persuade the DNC on matters pertaining to immigration they like, do they?

Immigration is one of the primary drivers for Democratic voter growth to majority. The RNC happens to have a giant fifth column at work undermining its prospects, only counterbalanced with weak and flimsy anecdotal hopes that Hispanics and Asians will wake up to the cause.

Eh I still have some hope that the Democrat voters in blue states will wake up. We will see. It almost happened in New Jersey of all places.

We are in for a protracted period of minority rule in this supposed democracy.
We have been in a state of minority rule for some time now.

Trump lost the presidential election by millions of votes.

Republicans in the Senate represent more than 40 million fewer people than do Democrats.

I'm in my 60's and have heard similar statements as yours above my entire adulthood and Republicans still win elections.
